The roots of Mattlihüs go back to Bad Oberdorf in the 18th century when our ancesters were given the house name ”at Done´s & Madlene´s”. The family was characterised by strong women so the house was given the female name Mattli derived from Madlene. In 1949 still just a shed and tea shop at the ancient Iseler cable car our Mattlihüs has since developed into a 4-star health and beauty retreat at the local Iseler mountain. Here, grounded at the foot of Iseler nowadays you are offered the real Allgäu hospitality and the perfect opportunity for your most comfortable retreat.

The mountain hotel Mattlihüs in the alpine village of Oberjoch (1200m) offers excellent opportunities to visit the sights of the Allgäu region such as Lake Constance and Neuschwanstein castle.

Hiking tracks take off directly on the doorstep of the hotel. Far away from roads and noise they will take you straight on to lush Allgäu mountain meadows with herbs, medical plants and rare flowers. You can experience nature and create your personal active and health holiday chosing from hiking, mountainbiking, climbing the local via ferrata and Nordic Walking - but you will never feel in a rush or under any pressure.

Located in the middle of the Oberjoch skiing area in winter Mattlihüs offers unrivalled advantages. On arrival you will be picked up by our snow-taxi which takes you to the car-free snow zone. Your new motto will be: hop out of bed and onto your skis!
